Progress

I have spoken to a lot of my friends and relatives during this pandemic and discovered a common thread to their activities: going through “old stuff.”  My son recently sent me a short piece I wrote for the local newspaper which ran a contest on Best Pet.  I wrote about Seymour, Lewis’ fish, who didn’t have to be walked, didn’t cost a lot to feed, and never kept us up by barking at strangers.

Here follows a poem I wrote when I was in High School. I was always proud of it and used to read it to my students in 5th grade when I taught them poetry.  And, BTW, did you know I was voted Class Poet in my High School Graduating Class (of 1078 students)?
